LITHONIA, Ga. -- Hundreds gathered Wednesday to mourn two DeKalb County police officers killed a week ago in an apparent ambush as they worked as off-duty security guards at an apartment complex.
The American flag-draped caskets of Ricky Bryant Jr., 26, and Eric Barker, 33, sat at the front of the packed sanctuary at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church at Lithonia.
The congregation was filled with uniformed and plain-clothed officers from across the state.
