$100,000 Benefit for Accidental Death & Dismemberment

ATTENTION all Full-time certified Police Officers and Marshals of the DeKalb County, Avondale Estates, Chamblee, Clarkston, Decatur, Doraville, Pine Lake, Stone Mountain, Lithonia, and the City of Dunwoody Police Departments and Sheriff’s Department:

The DeKalb Police Alliance has purchased a $100,000 insurance policy through Chubb Insurance on your behalf.

 

FAQ’s

Q:  Do we need to notify the DeKalb Police Alliance when we hire a new employee or terminate and employee?

A:  No.  The coverage is a “blanket” policy that covers all Officers, Marshals and Sheriffs without having to notify the Insurance carrier.

Q:  Do we need to complete a beneficiary form?

A:  No.  Benefits will be paid to the following - Spouse, if no spouse to children, if no children to parents, if no parents to Estate.

Q:  How do we report a claim?

A:  Claim notification will be made to either the DPA or to Peachtree Benefit Group.  We will put the insurance carrier on notice.  The carrier will contact the claimant.

Q:  Are officers covered while on duty or “moonlighting”?

A:  Yes
